I never make resolutions as such but at every beginning of a new year I kept telling myself to get things organized, plan ahead and consider getting my time management skills up. Which obviously went out of the window at the very end of January, once I realized I couldn’t even keep up with this plan at the first place and my time management skills apparently suck. No can do.

So this time, I just want to focus on kicking off with a clean slate. And stop giving that much importance to the past. Things end, things change, new things begin. And I should just stop going over all those old photos, videos and memories over and over again, thinking where the hell did that part of my life go and why won’t it ever be the same again. It takes tremendous amount of time too, going back in thoughts, when one should really just concetrate on whats happening now and what it will lead to.

So, in case you’re wondering, how that links to the new wallet pictured... with a new year I felt it’s time to replace that Miu Miu giant and get a new smaller wallet and make it a symbolic the fresh clean slate I am talking about. Let me just point out, that if they say a girl’s handbag is one big messy chaos of memories, they sure haven’t seen my wallet. Well the old one. With all the (old) mess I now threw away – bunch of teeny tiny photos, bigger bunch of bills, old business cards and all those membership cards from Asia... Poof, gone, and it feels good!

(Please someone give me the power to do the same with my closet, pretty please!)

Předsevzetí si nikdy nedávám, ale posledních pár let jsem si na začátku vždy kladla na srdce, že musím začít více plánovat, trochu si zorganizovat život a vůbec zlepšit svoje schopnosti time managementu. Plán, co zhruba na konci ledna pokaždé vyletěl oknem, protože v momentě, kdy jsem se na poslední chvíli učila na zkoušku, mi došlo, že tyhle schopnosti já prostě nemám a plánovač času nejsem.

Takže tentokrát na to jdu odjinud. Chci nový začátek, se vším všudy. A přestat se tolik zaobírat minulostí. Něco končí, něco se mění a něco začíná. Je čas se přestat pořád dokola a dokola probírat starými fotkami a vzpomínkami – nic už nebude tak, jako bylo, ale rozhodně to není špatně. Tohle procházení minulosti navíc zabírá zbytečně moc času, který se dá směřovat úplně jiným směrem. Soustředěním na současnost.

Pokud zatím nechápete, jak se tyhle řeči vážou k peněžence na fotce... s novým rokem jsem se rozhodla Miu Miu obra vyměnit za mladší menší krásku a udělat z ní symbolický čistý štít. Pokud se o dámských kabelkách říká, že je to chaotická změť, nikdo zcela určitě neviděl mojí peněženku. Respektive tu starou. Se všemi nesmysly, co jsem konečně vyhodila a protřídila – kupu starých pidi-fotek, ještě větší kupu účtenek, nečitelných vizitek, klubových karet z Asie... Je to fuč, sláva!
