NYFW / the fresh red lip

Absolutely loved the fresh take on the classic red lip and big curls at yesterday's backstage of Kaelen. The look got largely inspired by Twin Peaks' Audrey Horne but to make the look more day appropriate and modern, MAC senior make-up artist Chantal Miller decided to stick only with the lip and let the rest of the face look very nude and untouched. Lightly brushed eyebrows with Strobe liquid lightly buffed into orbital bones and ligthly onto models' cheekbones, together with Waterlight foundation on the face was all it took to give attention to the main star - Lady Danger lipstick. "To keep up with the 90s and Twin Peaks theme, we made the lip look a little more angular versus following their natural shape."

V zákulisí včerejší přehlídky Kaelen jsem si zamilovala modernější verzi elegantní kombinace rudých rtů a skládaných vln. Celý look byl silně inspirován Audrey Horne z Twin Peaks, ale aby působil svěžeji a lehčeji, rozhodla se senior make-up artist Chantal Miller pouze pro rty a zbytek obličeje nechala přirozený a téměř nedotknutý. Lehce pročesané obočí, Strobe liquid lehce vklepaný do nadočnicových oblouků i na modelek lícní kosti nechali společně s jemným Waterlight foundation vyniknout hlavní hvězdě večera - rtěnce Lady Danger. "Abychom udrželi inspiraci 90tých let a Twin Peaks, rty jsme výrazně vymodelovali a nechali ostře řezané, oproti dnešnímu trendu následovat jejich přirozený tvar."
